Once a miner, always a miner.
My roots are in mining. After training as a mining mechanic, I worked underground and, following further education, was responsible for a mining district with 140 employees as a district foreman. It was hard, dangerous, and hot, a man’s world characterized by camaraderie and fairness. That was my school, which still shapes me today. Afterward, I studied mining engineering – I am a mining engineer and proud of it!
This was followed by leadership positions in the metal, construction machinery, and manufacturing industries, where I gained extensive international leadership experience. My transition into interim management was a very conscious step. Here, I can concretely help companies with their problems on a project-by-project basis – focusing on implementation and visibility of results. The positive feedback from my clients is a great motivation for me and reinforces my decision.
I am proud to have come, literally from the very bottom, from mining, to where I am today. I am proud that I successfully completed my university degree as well as MBA, Lean Master, Six Sigma Black Belt, Scrum Master, and PMI – always while working or during short breaks.
But one thing is certain. I’m always a comrade.
